With Christmas on the horizon the team here at Mediaworks are feeling nostalgic about the incredible year we’ve just had and, whilst trying to remain humble, we wanted to revel in the success of our smaller, family owned businesses.
So if you will indulge us and join us down by the fire, we’d like to tell you a little story about two tiny stores, hidden away in the Metrocentre and the fantastical journey they’ve been on with the help of Mediaworks and their incredible search engine optimisation campaigns. But first a little bit about the companies.
Tights Tights Tights
Ten years ago the team behind Tights Tights Tights (TTT) started a specialist store in the Metrocentre where they captured the hearts and minds, and legs, of many of the Metrocentre’s 30m visitors a year. Somewhere along the way TTT decided to reach out and sell their tights around the world but they lacked the expertise to get their website moving on Google. Enter Mediaworks!
Over the space of nine months we have transformed TTT’s month-on-month organic traffic by 358% and increased their organic revenue by 212% making them one of the leading tights retailers in the UK.
Aileen Matthews, Client Relationship Manager for TTT, was particularly pleased about these results, she said: “The best thing about working with small clients is that you can really see them grow.
“TTT have seen their rankings, traffic and revenue improve significantly since we started working with them. I think, after all our hard work, I’m almost more pleased about the results than they are.”
Forget Flowers
Well maybe not quite, but Mediaworks always revels in the success of our clients. Another client that has seen incredible success is Forget Flowers. They have seen a massive jump in organic conversion rates since starting one of our online marketing campaigns back in July and in just six months later they have seen a 158% increase in conversion rates.
They have also seen an incredible increase in longtail traffic, which to the lay man, means that it is much easier for people to find their website with specific search terms. What is fantastic about this though is that most companies who see an increase in traffic will also see a decrease in conversion rates, even though they are making more sales, but in the case of Forget Flower conversion rates have actually gone up - and massively.
So little kiddies, that concludes our Christmas tale, but if there is one thing you should take away from this story is this message from Aileen, she said: “Both TTT and Forget Flowers are small businesses and their success shows that if you can get your SEO right it doesn’t matter if you are a small or large business to operate successfully online.”
