Google Showing Real Time Hot Trends On 1st Page Search Results

With Twitter pushing the envelope of real time search results and Google following suit with their Real Time Indexing it is of no surprise to see Google’s search engine results employ their very own Google’s Hot Trend facility.

With the recent furore heating upon Twitter over Jan Moir’s attack on Stephen Gately’s death in her recent article in the Daily Mail Newspaper I was surprised to see Google using the Hot Trends facility on a search query for Jan Moir.

Whilst the positioning for this result is low down on the 1st page it is an interesting site to see Google actively testing their Real Time indexing and results on the 1st page of the SERP’s.

We shall remain to see how this is employed in the coming months, but so far it’s most definitely of interest to see it actively displayed.
