Microsoft & Yahoo To Join Forces In Search Engine Marketing
It’s an exciting time for SEO, following the launch of Microsoft’s Bing search engine. Having already established itself as one of the top 3 search engines, Bing looks all set to rival Google for the majority share of the market, as it was announced that it has agreed a deal with Yahoo that will see the battle for global search engine dominance commence.
The 10 year deal will see Yahoo utilise Bing’s search engine results for users of the Yahoo website and wage full search war against Google.
The big change will come as SEO companies look to make their work appeal to two different search engines. At the moment, Google has the lion’s share of the search engine volume: within 10 years, we could be looking at a complete situation reversal, with Google fighting to compete.
In the near future, we expect to see an increase in Bing searches as users test out the new system. But whether the changes are needed within 10 days or over 10 years, we at Mediaworks will always be looking to stay on top of our game. The only thing you need worry about is whether it’s better to Bing or greater to Google.
