Background

As one of the leading UK sofa retailers, ScS were looking to increase their online presence to attract new and existing customers who were unable to go to their numerous stores Nationwide.

Our brief was to:

  • Optimise their website for a variety of 1, 2 and 3 word key phrases.
  • Work closely with their assigned development agency to consult on technical changes to the website to ensure 100% SEO compatibility & improve conversion rates.

Strategy

Entering the campaign part-way through a website redesign, our strategy was to ensure the new website adhered to basic SEO & CRO requirements.

Once this was established, we consulted on several changes to the website to implement advanced CRO techniques including multivariate testing, whilst ensuring this did not affect our SEO campaign strategy.

By focusing our SEO campaign towards competitive key phrases such as ‘sofas’, we aimed to penetrate the competitive online furniture market in order to increase ScS’ online revenue through increased sales.

This required extensive consultation meetings to ensure our SEO advice, recommendations and requirements were met.

Results

During the first month of our recommended site changes going live, ScS experienced a massive surge in new traffic and sales as a result of our Search Engine Optimisation and Conversion Rate Optimisation suggested changes.
