Mediaworks Data-Driven Digital Breakfast a Success

On the morning of Thursday 22nd March, representatives from the North East’s leading companies assembled at PWC’s office at Central Square South, Newcastle, to gain invaluable insights on data-fuelled digital marketing from Mediaworks, alongside key speakers from Microsoft and PwC.

In attendance were representatives from companies such as; Frank Group, James Burrell, Maplewave, Newcastle United, Winn Solicitors and Newcastle College. During the seminar, Mediaworks’ Technical Director, Daniel Hoggan, discussed the importance of harnessing the power of data to drive successful digital marketing campaigns.

Microsoft’s Search Manager, Sophie Sarin, focused on how to use artificial intelligence for data collection, giving an insight into how brands can use a variety of user interfaces to connect with consumers.

PwC’s Director of Cyber Security, Asam Malik, presented how to protect against cyber security infringements to assist digital marketing campaigns, touching on how to safeguard business data ahead of GDPR changes.

The presentations were rounded off with an insightful Q&A session, which prompted a discussion around topics touched on in the presentations such as the future of artificial intelligence (AI) and GDPR, and the effects they are going to have on businesses.

This was the first in the series of Data-Driven Digital Breakfast, following the success of our Digital Transformation seminars in the North East, Yorkshire and Scotland.
