In 2016, the department store unveiled the Disney The Boutique collection, a range of children’s dresses inspired by some of the most iconic Disney princesses. To tie-in with the product launch, House of Fraser asked Mediaworks to create an interactive quiz.
As part of the overarching House of Fraser SEO strategy - and with our magic wands in hand - our talented team of copywriters, designers and developers got to work on creating the ‘What Disney Character Are You? quiz.
We worked closely with both House of Fraser and Disney throughout to ensure the end product perfectly met the requirements. The quiz went live in late 2016, receiving an exceptional response from Disney-lovers and die-hard fans.
Our copywriters crafted questions that appealed to both little ones and big kids alike! Design then got to work creating visuals to bring the magic to life. Showcasing the collection of dresses was our priority, but we also had to ensure Disney’s much-loved charm was retained throughout. We worked collaboratively with Disney to make sure the quiz met their brand guidelines and high design standards.
The quiz was promoted on House of Fraser’s Facebook page, achieving incredible reach over a series of two posts. In total, the quiz’s Facebook promotion reached over 129,000 people. The promotion lead to users snapping up Disney The Boutique dresses for their little ones so they could truly become their Disney character. Following the first social media post, dress sales increased by 126% on the previous week. Subsequent posts increased sales week-on-week throughout the campaign, resulting in all styles performing above their expected rates after just six weeks.
