Northumbria University is based in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne and the city is regularly voted the best place in the UK. Students are attracted by the University's excellent academic reputation, their top 10 graduate employment record, and their outstanding campus and sports facilities. The University began working with Mediaworks to deliver a results-driven Clearing campaign.to develop and deliver a results-driven Clearing Campaign.
Approach
On-site & technical improvements
We carried out a detailed analysis of technical SEO factors and overall content performance to develop a road map for the ongoing improvement of indexation in-line with Northumbria University’s Clearing campaign priorities.
Links audit
We analysed Northumbria University’s pre-existing links profile to establish key areas of opportunity that would strengthen the authority of their link profile.
Outreach
We adopted a strategic outreach approach for the Clearing campaign to gain high authority links and engage with key digital influencers. We targeted key Clearing pages with the objective of improving rankings and driving phone calls and enquiries.
Results
During the Clearing campaign, we secured coverage from over 200 high authority and thematically relevant sites, with an average Domain Authority (DA) of 55. Our combined technical, content and outreach efforts delivered impressive results, including:
