Motion Designer

We are looking to hire an experienced, talented, and self-motivated animator and motion designer. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and will be able create eye catching designs and animations for commercial projects such as infographics, animated gifs and title sequences.

As part of the video team, you will have the ability to storyboard ideas for clients and manage your animated projects from start to finish. You will have a good technical knowledge the Adobe Creative Suite – most notably Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop.

A taster of the role:

  • Produce animated video content for a variety of clients
  • Support during the discovery phase of projects, participating in client workshops to extract requirements in line with project objectives
  • Use research and data to shape your creative ideas
  • Work collaboratively with the wider creative team to create engaging campaigns that demand customer attention
  • Communicate effectively, both internally and externally
  • Continuously research industry innovation and best practices
  • Concept and storyboard ideas for content based on client briefs
  • Create animations and edit into sequences with Adobe, with music, voiceover, etc.
  • Create relevant graphics/motion graphics in line with strict brand guidelines for video content
  • Support on film shoots with the video team when needed
  • Meet with clients to discuss briefs, pitches, and ideas for content and manage your relationship with the client throughout a project
  • Work closely with the Content Marketing and Design teams to produce quality content and meet quarterly and annual targets
  • Work in line with the wider Mediaworks team and assist wherever possible
  • Manage files and resources in an efficient way

The person we’re looking for:

  • Excellent knowledge of 3D software and the full 3D workflow (concepting, modelling, texturing, rigging, animating, lighting, rendering, compositing, etc)
  • Excellent knowledge of 2D animation with flair for design
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – most notably Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of editing promos and sequences with music, sound effects, graphics, etc.
  • Must have an eye for detail and strive for perfection in every project
  • Must have good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple video/photo projects at one time and to stick to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work well independently but also working alongside team members
