Mediaworks team continues to expand

Mediaworks HQ flung open their doors in August, not only to cool down from the north-east’s sweltering heatwave but also to welcome five new members of staff.

Over the past few weeks, we have welcomed two new copywriters, a designer for our content marketing division and a pair of new online marketing executives to enhance our fantastic team of SEO experts.

From left to right: Rachel, Jenny. Anna, Autumn and Bethanie

Rachel Handley is the first of our new copywriters, making the trip up the A1 from Leeds where she had worked as a content editor for Axonn Media since 2012. As such, Rachel brings with her vast experience of writing blogs and articles for a diverse selection of clients, as well as a keen eye for noticing errors with grammar and punctuation.

Despite Bury being her home town, Rachel’s arrival at Mediaworks HQ is something of a homecoming. This is because she previously spent three years studying at Newcastle University, graduating with a 1st Class degree in Linguistics.

Autumn Wiberg has also joined our copywriting team, and will be taking up the task of writing intriguing and useful articles, in-depth blog pieces and engaging content for a wide variety of our clients and their websites.

Graduating from Northumbria University only this past summer with a BA Hons in English Literature, Autumn, from nearby South Shields, said: “I have always enjoyed writing and I am excited to be a part of the copywriting team at Mediaworks.”

Also hailing from the north-east – the town of Stanley to be precise – Anna Fenwick is the newest designer on our content marketing team. She definitely brings plenty of skills to the department, having graduated from Northumbria University with a BSc honours in Computer Animation and Digital Special Effects.

“My head is always bursting with ideas and thinking of quirky things, so you’ll never find me sat around bored,” Anna pointed out. She added: “I look forward to learning more about online marketing and seeing how far I can stretch my creativity!”

Moving across to our team of online marketing executives, Bethanie Dennis joins our company after achieving a 1st Class degree in Commercial Photography at Derby University.

Now back home in Washington, Beth brings plenty of experience having worked as a Marketing Assistant at clock makers Smith of Derby while at university, as well as co-ordinating a photography exhibition in our nation’s capital, London.

Jenny Adair is the second of our new online marketing executives and has travelled the furthest distance among our newcomers, having grown up in the coastal village of Helen’s Bay, near Northern Ireland’s capital Belfast. She graduated from Northumbria University with a BA Hons in Marketing Management, showcasing that Jenny is certainly accustomed to the north-east way of life.

Before joining Mediaworks, Jenny enjoyed six years with the marketing team of holiday park operator Parkdean Holidays, where she became skilled in a range of marketing communications techniques. This ranged from press advertising and direct marketing, to partner marketing, PR and taking part in photography shoots and events.

Please join us in making all five new additions feel welcome in the Mediaworks family.
