Here at Mediaworks, we’re proud to announce that we will be taking part in the Brand Aid seminar, hosted by Brewin Dolphin in Newcastle upon Tyne.
On Thursday 24th April, I will be joining speakers from Square One Law and Recognition PR, as well as guest speaker Tony Stein, to discuss the importance of repairing and protecting brand reputation online — something that has grown increasingly important.
It is no secret that the digital arena dominates our lives. With the rise of social media sites like Twitter, Facebook and more, it’s even easier for users to share their honest opinions. These are then logged into the Google index for anyone to read.
While positive feedback can provide ideal brand exposure, the flipside, negative views, can be extremely detrimental to how a customer perceives the brand. With a large proportion of people acting on their peers’ recommendations, feedback is critical.
In fact, it seems like barely a day goes by where we aren’t greeted by the latest shoddy company review or social media gaffe. And, in a time where customers are becoming ever-more discerning about the companies they use, it has never been more important to build a solid brand reputation both on- and offline.
During my talk, I will be discussing how to repair your brand’s online reputation after it has been tarnished. In addition, I will be looking at some of the preventative measures that all businesses should have in place to ensure the security of their reputation.
