Johnnie Johnson Housing has partnered with Mediaworks to deliver a new digital-first approach for its residents and partners.
The digital marketing agency has been selected as the transformation partner for the not-for-profit organisation that is guided by its mission statement of ‘living longer, living better’.
Emma Midgley, Head of Transformation and Communications at Johnnie Johnson Housing, said: “Today’s residents want instant information and improved customer service from whatever organisation they are dealing with. With increasing numbers of customer touchpoints taking place outside office hours, and with considerations around social distancing for vulnerable residents, the demand for self-serve options is increasing.
“By introducing more digital technologies and allowing our residents to log issues and incidents remotely, we will be able to free up our people’s time to give greater focus to our front line services, in particular providing support where it is needed most.
“During the procurement process, Mediaworks stood out as they were willing to challenge us to go beyond the original scope of the project and push our digital aspirations.”
Midgley added: “As a partner, Mediaworks’ data-driven and user-centric approach in their existing work in the sector made it clear that they would be a strong addition to the partners we work with to deliver outstanding homes and services.”
A revamped digital user centre will capture data and insights that will inform future development of services while improving customer understanding and effective communication.
Johnnie Johnson Housing supply homes for more than 8,000 residents in the North West, North East, Yorkshire, and Derbyshire, with their property portfolio including houses, bungalows, flats, studio apartments and independent living schemes.
Through its tech partner, Astraline, Johnnie Johnson Housing offers a range of safety services to both residents, private paying customers and other housing associations, with bespoke packages including telecare services and a 24-hour monitoring centre.
Brett Jacobson, Chief Executive Officer at Mediaworks, said: “We’re delighted to partner with another forward-thinking organisation like Johnnie Johnson Housing. Digital transformation is a significant investment for any organisation, and it is an area that has become critical in helping people overcome the impact of the recent changes we’ve been facing in the world.
“Customer adoption is a key driver for the success of any digital transformation project, and it is clear that Johnnie Johnson Housing has placed its residents’ needs and wellbeing as the main focal point of this project.”
The partnership is the latest in a list of housing associations that have selected Mediaworks to deliver their digital solutions and another client win in the North West.
Mediaworks has continued to deliver digital solutions for the sector throughout 2020, partnering with Northern Housing Consortium and acquiring housing clients across the country, including Johnnie Johnson, Home Group, and Believe Housing.
