Mediaworks were recently invited to an exclusive innovation residential hosted by Software City and Creative Fusion situated at the Northern Design Centre in Gateshead
Attended by our UX Designer, Luke Blacklock the day included a creative thinking workshop hosted by Emma Clement from Urban foresight which introduced topics such as roadmapping to other members of the design industry from the North East.
An introduction to the new multi-million pound technology research centre PROTO provided an insight to how it will become the hub for virtual reality when it launches this summer. PROTO, funded by Gateshead Council will be the first of its kind in Europe, supporting businesses to interact with emerging technologies such as VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality).
Mediaworks also got to taste some of the “bleeding edge” technologies on offer in the Immersive Lab at the Northern Design Centre such as Microsoft HoloLense, FOVE Eye Tracking Virtual Reality Headset and a whole host of other AR and VR technology.
Luke, said: “It was a great event, with a lot of key takeaways for the future especially the benefits of road-mapping for any aspect of work and then to round it off by playing around in the newest cutting edge AR and VR technology was amazing.”
In addition to our association with innovative projects in the North East, we’re also hosting our next series of our Digital Breakfast Seminars, further information regarding the events will be released later this month.
