The Mediaworks team have enjoyed the glamour of a variety of awards ceremonies in previous years, and it looks as though 2014 will be no different. The gloomy winter days have at last been brightened up with the announcement that Mediaworks has been shortlisted for several categories at the 2014 European Search Awards.
The effort and innovation that the Mediaworks team has put into the Travelex campaigns has again been recognised by the awards, which will take place in Reykjavik, Iceland. The GWK Travelex SEO Campaign has been nominated for Best Use of Search in both the finance category and travel and leisure category, whilst the Mediaworks & Travelex Netherlands SEO & PPC Campaign has been nominated for Best Integrated Campaign.
The European Search Awards are renowned for celebrating the best international campaigns in SEO, PPC, Digital Marketing and Content Marketing. Mediaworks was delighted to be shortlisted for the UK Search Awards last year, and this year’s international recognition is even more of an achievement. The 2014 awards will take place on Friday 28th March, so there isn’t too long to wait to find out who the winners are.
Jon Myers of Marin Software described the awards as “without a doubt the most prestigious search industry awards in Europe”, whilst Julia Gonzalez of Performics has said that they are “similar to the Oscars”. These comments are evidence of the high quality competition we can expect to see at the awards, making it a truly exciting prospect.
Every year the awards are judged by an impressive panel of industry experts and 2014 will be no exception. This year’s judges include Sara Clifton, founder of Search Integration, Jose Truchado, director of SEO at Expedia, and Judith Lewis, head of search at deCabbit Consulting. The judging process involves in-depth discussion and rigorous evaluation of all campaigns to ensure that the best entries can be selected as winners.
