Mediaworks wins Best Use of Search award at Big Chip 2014

It may be Independence Day across the pond but there’s a party atmosphere here at the Big Blue Machine too, after Mediaworks was named the winner of the Best Use of Search award at Big Chip 2014.

The award is in recognition of our full-service multilingual campaign for Travelex Netherlands. Involving many members of our team, we set out to increase site visitor numbers, boost return on investment and improve the brand’s share of the online currency market. This was achieved through technical analysis, conversion rate reviews, content creation, content marketing and international outreach.

The comprehensive campaign resulted in the Travelex Netherlands website witnessing an 87 per cent increase in organic conversions and 53 per cent boost in traffic in the 12 months from November 2012.

Supporting the SEO efforts was a profitable PPC campaign for Travelex Netherlands, which ran between January and December 2013.

Looking into the entire strategy, Big Chip acknowledged: “The judges picked this campaign as the winner for two reasons. First was a very well thought out plan, and second was an excellent execution of that plan to deliver great results.”
