Mediaworks Yorkshire Digital Transformation Breakfast Seminar
On the morning of Thursday 23rd November, representatives from Yorkshire’s leading businesses assembled at PWC’s office at Central Square, Leeds, to gain invaluable insights on digital transformation from Mediaworks and key speakers from Yorkshire Water and Silver Cross.
In attendance were representatives from companies such as; Accent Group, Croda, Barnsley FC, Bettys and Taylors of Harrogate, Mott Macdonald and Gripple to name a few. During the breakfast seminar, Mediaworks’ Technical Director, Daniel Hoggan, discussed how some of the world’s largest corporations are embracing digital technology to drive organisational change within their businesses for both clients and staff.
Yorkshire Water’s Director of Business Support, Simon Barnes, focused on how utilising digital transformation can improve the overall customer experience and how this has helped Yorkshire Water’s customer journey evolve. He also looked at how future technological challenges will impact the company.
Silver Cross’ Digital Marketing Manager, Georgina Couch, presented the digital journey of the heritage brand and the challenges and opportunities it has faced as both a B2B and B2C business. She shared insights into how companies can start their digital transformation journey and ensure a positive ROI.
The presentations were rounded off with an insightful Q&A session, which prompted a discussion around topics touched on in the presentations such as GDPR and the effects it is going to have on businesses.
