Putting customers first in a new digital platform for Bernicia.

We partnered with Bernicia to create a new customer-centric digital platform that was optimised for different user needs.

Bernicia has served the North East for over 50 years and is one of the UK's leading housing providers. Using the flexibility of WordPress, we built a new, easy-to-use online experience for tenants and a cost-effective solution for Bernicia, achieving a 72% increase in organic visibility.

Bernicia wanted an easy-to-use online experience for tenants and an improved Content Management System (CMS) for internal teams.

To help Bernicia reach its goals, we began by carrying out a full digital performance analysis of the existing website. From this we identified the opportunities to build a better platform that would put customers at the forefront, while also making life easier for the team at Bernicia.

A new website built with flexibility in mind.

We selected WordPress as the preferred platform. This provided the flexibility not only to build out a best-in-class user experience, but also the ability to roll out the taxonomy across the other sites in the Bernicia Group: Open Spaces, Kingston Properties, Living Spaces and the Bernicia Foundation. So, Bernicia was able make cost savings in both the initial development of the new platforms and managing content.
