Clearing is one of the most competitive campaigns for UK universities, making it crucial to be ranking as high and as relevantly as possible on the search engine results at a specific time of the year.
Through detailed technical and content analysis, we developed a road map of ongoing improvement of indexation in line with Northumbria University’s clearing campaign priorities.
Mediaworks analysed existing link profiles to establish key areas of opportunity that would strengthen the authority of Northumbria University’s link profile. We then targeted key clearing pages through a strategic outreach approach for the Clearing campaign to gain high authority links and engage with key digital influencers.
As a result of a combined technical, content, and outreach effort, Mediaworks secured coverage from over 200 highly authoritative and relevant publications to improve rankings of over 1,500 targeted keywords. This resulted in increased traffic and an additional 400 enquiries through the clearing pages.
