PALACE FOR LIFE: 873% INCREASE IN WEBSITE VISITS

As the official charity of Crystal Palace FC, the Palace for Life helps change the lives of young people across South London through community engagement in the local area. The charity partnered with Mediaworks to transform its digital offering to appeal to new audiences and accommodate a range of stakeholders that weren’t achievable through its existing website. Mediaworks helped to understand that vision, providing a rebrand and new messaging through a mobile-friendly website to offer greater visibility for the charity online and increase local publicity to help fuel growth for the Foundation.

As the official charity of Crystal Palace FC, the Palace for Life Foundation needs to provide an on-brand digital presence that delivers a frictionless experience for a range of users accessing a variety of courses.

The project started by rebranding so that the Foundation and site were more aligned to that of the football club itself. This made it more recognisable to its target stakeholders. By restructuring the entire website to allow for frictionless navigation, the new site structure set out to overcome feedback to equally accommodate its range of users, from young people in the local area through to charitable contributors. By implementing an intuitive content management system, which included global elements and a flexible component base, we increased the audience reach of the site and allowed the Foundation’s people to continually add new content.

Between April 2019 and July 2019, visits to the site increased by 873% overall. Mobile interactions grew by 976% from 4,165 to 44,807, fuelling the awareness and recognition of the Foundation’s work.
