As part of this year’s Leeds Digital Festival, Mediaworks caught up with some of the lockdown legends—companies and individuals who had to turn everything on its head to keep moving, innovating, and creating opportunities.
In this edition, we spoke to Rachel Porter and Enda Mullen, TV producer and editor on “A day in the life of coronavirus Britain” – a snapshot of a country coming to terms with life at the height of the pandemic.
Using user generated footage filmed entirely on one day at the start of April, the team spent the following 48 hours writing, organising and editing over 3000 user generated clips to create the hour long show for Channel 4.
This is the story of how the team faced the challenges of the industry grinding to a halt and embraced new ways of working and creativity to meet the challenges that could turn their fortunes around.
