The Mag is completely independent of NUFC, which allows them to bring the readers content they want- whether things are going well or not at the club.
The independent site evolved from the success of The Mag (paper) magazine, which was first published in 1988 and ran until 2014, running alongside the website for its final three years.
It was important to understand the core functionality of the website was readily available news for a mass market and that’s exactly what the Development Team did. The site can now accommodate access of up to 2,000 concurrent users, whilst the online news platform also integrates with Ezoic and links to The Mag’s online shop https://shop.themag.co.uk
