Three Big Chip Awards nominations for Mediaworks!
Mediaworks is thrilled to announce that we have been shortlisted for a total of three awards at the Big Chip Awards 2018!
Two of the award nominations are in recognition of our app development work, as we have been shortlisted for Best Mobile Application and Best Tech for Good Project.
Our Best Mobile Application nod is in recognition of our work with The Royal Mint, which saw us design and develop The Great British Coin Hunt app. The app was created to support the release of The Royal Mint’s Quintessentially British 10p coins and saw us use image recognition technology and location functionality to encourage users to find and log their coins.
We were shortlisted for Best Tech for Good Project as a result of our partnership with Wild in Art. This has seen us create a number of unique apps from a base app with modular components and functionality to minimise the final cost to the charities hosting the art trails.
Our work with True Potential Investor also saw us shortlisted for the Best Use of Search award. Using organic and paid search, we have delivered some outstanding results and supported the company’s continued digital growth.
Now in its 20th year, the Big Chip Awards were established to celebrate digital and technological excellence in the North. Speaking of the awards, Chair of Big Chip Shaun Fensom said: “The judges have applied strict and rigorous standards and anyone on this shortlist can be truly proud of what they have achieved.”
Mediaworks’ Managing Director, Brett Jacobson, said: “We enjoyed great success at the Big Chip Awards in 2017, where we scooped Best Use of Search. We’re incredibly proud to be nominated again in this category, as well as for two other awards for our app development work. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our design and development department, and the whole team is thrilled to be shortlisted.”
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on July 4th 2018 in Manchester.
