When Mediaworks launched their Apprentice takeover in collaboration with Creative North, BMC Recruitment and Baltic Training, the rain wasn’t the only thing pouring on an April afternoon.
The talent, ideas and creative thinking were over flowing in the Mediaworks boardroom with fifteen prospective apprentices, all with enthusiasm by the bucket load!
After a quick ice-breaker, our candidates for north east apprenticeships quickly got down to business. Tasked with creating a microsite for Mediaworks’ new Edinburgh offices.
Presenting their ideas back to the group, the young talent shone through, impressing the experts and proving how important the apprentice scheme is for Mediaworks; making sure our award-winning digital marketing agency is brimming with the freshest talent, eager to join our team as we continue to grow.
Closing the afternoon, Mediaworks’ Business Development Manager, Marc Cranston treated the candidates to a Mediaworks masterclass in client relations, customer service and our culture.
After chatting to the group, Marc’s words of wisdom were reinforced by Alice Fairweather, who benefited from one of our previous north east apprenticeships and became a full-time Digital Marketing Executive at our company. Alice generously shared her advice and support to the candidates.
Speaking of her journey through her apprenticeship, offering advice on getting through an interview, discussing her experience of joining the world of work and also spoke of her continued personal and professional development.
