In support of docudrama Barbarians Rising, The History Channel chose Mediaworks to create and build an interactive content campaign to engage users, build awareness and generate maximum online coverage.


Our copy, design and development departments worked collaboratively to create an interactive quiz that would help users find out what type of Barbarian they were. The results were presented in the form of a personalised digital trading card. To improve awareness of the docudrama offline, we also produced physical trading cards that were printed and distributed as promotional materials.


Our Become a Barbarian project delivered a content campaign that understood its target audience and engaged with users. Overall, the quiz achieved:
